Growing food.
Growing community.
Formed in 2012, O Grows is a community-university partnership among the City of Opelika, Opelika City Schools, Envision Opelika, and Auburn University with the mission to cultivate local food, relationships, and knowledge-sharing. Our vision is to grow community educators who honor local place and co-create community wealth/health with area residents.

Welcome to the O Grows Community Garden
Welcome to the O Grows Community Garden. We are located at 1103 Glenn St, where we garden and hang out with our goats. Come out and grow with us!

Community Gardeners
Looking for a place to garden? We offer spaces starting at 4 x12 foot plots for $30 for the full year.
Looking for even more space?
Rent multiple plots as available. Plots are rented on a first come first serve basis. If you receive SNAP benefits you could qualify for a free 4 x 12 foot garden plot.
Looking for more information?
Contact Jonny Whyte at ogrowscommunitygarden@gmail.com or come out to the garden on a Saturday morning from 8 to noon.
O Grows Garden
We grow year round at the community garden. In the summer time you'll see rows of okra, tomatoes, peppers, and more. In the winter, we like to grow collards, kale, and broccoli. What we grow, we donate, in an effort to make fresh, local food grown without chemicals accessible to our neighbors in the community.
Do you wanna volunteer with us?
We'll have more information on that soon!
